Get Involved in and around Las Vegas
Looking to get involved in wildlife, plant, and ecosystem conservation in or around Las Vegas? I listed most of the organizations or agencies that can help you do that.
These are most of the nonprofits and businesses that are involved in education, stewardship, science, and policy advocacy in the area.
I have worked with most of them or met representatives of these groups over the years. Among them are hunting and fishing organizations, and sometimes people find that surprising. The roles that these groups play in conservation can have big and positive impacts on the land due to political sway, financial investment, and science-backed decisions. My goal is to help build a community, and to best do that, there must be communication, collaboration, and coordination within a coalition.
This is a good representation of the conservation community, and when they deliver overlapping messages in coordinated ways, they're more likely to get shared desired outcomes.
